When it comes to family fun, it doesn't get any better than the Cub Scout Pinewood Derby. GEAR UP for this year's Pinewood Derby events. Cub Scout units across Southeast New Mexico are hosting pack events where winners from each den often race each other for unit domination.

Here are some helpful tips and information you can use to prepare for your Pinewood Derby adventure:

• Check out this great instructional video.

• Ask questions. Other Scout families and leaders in your unit have years of experience racing and winning these legendary events.

Have you read the official BSA RULES FOR BUILDING YOUR PINEWOOD DERBY CAR?

Have you registered for your District Pinewood Derby?

• There's more to the Pinewood Derby than just your unit. Make sure to participate in ALL of the district events throughout the spring.
