This past Saturday, March 1st, the El Llano Grande (ELG) Pinewood Derby took center stage at Kingswood Methodist Church, where Scouts from Pack 226 (Clovis) and Pack 11 (Portales) gathered for an exciting day of racing, camaraderie, and competition.
Scouts displayed their creativity and craftsmanship as they showcased their uniquely designed cars, each built with precision and pride. The event was filled with cheers and excitement as racers went head-to-head, pushing the limits of speed and design down the track.
🏆 Den-Level AwardsThe competition heated up as Scouts competed within their respective dens, with 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners receiving medals and certificates in recognition of their outstanding performance.
🏆 Grand Championship ShowdownThe stakes grew even higher as 1st place winners from each den advanced to the overall championship round. These elite racers faced off for the ultimate title, with the top finishers earning not only additional medals and certificates but also a custom trophy—a symbol of their hard work and determination!
