On February 8th, the Kwahadi Lodge held its Annual Banquet at the Green Chile Cafe in Artesia, NM. It was a fantastic gathering of fellowship and celebration, with approximately 27 Arrowmen in attendance.
The afternoon began with a hearty lunch featuring steak, chicken, mashed potatoes, green beans, and a sweet finish of either cheese or chocolate cake. Following the meal, Lodge Chief Charles Moreau led an insightful training session on “Leadership vs. Followership,” delving into the subtle yet vital dynamics within a team.
Adding to the day’s activities, Julia Stafford, our Section Vice Chief and special guest from the Yah-Tah-Hey-Si-Kess Lodge, guided our Arrowmen through a series of engaging team-building exercises. These activities highlighted the importance of clear communication and unity within any team setting.
The banquet concluded with an awards ceremony led by Ashland Siddall, Vice Chief of Kwahadi Lodge. We were proud to recognize the following individuals for their dedication and service:
Dianne Conde received the prestigious “Cheerful Service Award” for 2024.
Charles Moreau was honored as the “Arrowman of the Year” for 2024.
Additionally, Howard Parman had the privilege of awarding the Vigil Honor to both Charles Moreau and Marshall Allen. These two outstanding Arrowmen will face their Vigil Honor trial in August of 2025, a testament to their continued commitment to the values and spirit of the Order of the Arrow.
Congratulations to all honorees, and a heartfelt thank you to everyone who made this fellowship event memorable. Here's to another year of cheerful service and brotherhood!
