This prestigious national honor, first awarded in 2009, celebrates Lions who provide distinguished service to Scouting through leadership, mentorship, and civic engagement. It exemplifies the longstanding partnership between these two organizations, both committed to youth development and community service.
Carol has been a pillar of Scouting in New Mexico for over 30 years. Since 1993, she has served as Committee Chair for Troop 72, as well as contributing to Pack 7, Pack 25, Crew 63, and Troop 9007. She has also supported the broader Scouting community as a Roundtable Commissioner, Unit Commissioner, and Merit Badge Counselor. Her dedication has earned her prestigious recognitions, including the Silver Beaver Award, District Award of Merit, and the William D. Boyce Organizer Award.
As an active Lions Club leader, Carol has helped strengthen the Scouting-Lions partnership through impactful service projects like Lighted Wagon Rides and KidSight Vision Screenings. Her tireless efforts continue to inspire youth and volunteers alike.
Congratulations, Carol, on this well-deserved honor!
The Roswell Mid-Day Lions Club meets on the first and third Monday of each month at 12:30 at Stellar Coffee in Roswell.
