Pack 72 Dowling Aquatic Base Adventures

This past weekend, Pack 72 packed up their gear and hit the road for an awesome campout at Dowling Aquatic Base in Carlsbad and it did not disappoint!

The adventure kicked off with a trip to the famous Carlsbad Caverns, where the scouts explored the massive underground caves. Between the towering rock formations and the winding paths, it felt like stepping into another world. The kids had a blast snapping photos and taking in the views, and even the adults couldn't help but be impressed.

Back at Dowling Aquatic Base, everyone settled in by the river, cooked up some great camp meals, and enjoyed the peaceful surroundings. There was plenty of time for games, laughs, and a little bit of good old-fashioned goofing around. Whether they were telling stories by the campfire or just hanging out by the water, the scouts made the most of every moment.

The Campout was a perfect chance for the kids to get outside, try something new, and just be kids. It was also a great way for parents and leaders to connect, share some laughs, and create memories alongside the scouts. Sometimes, a quick weekend away is all it takes to recharge and reconnect and that’s exactly what this trip was all about.

Big shoutout to the leaders and families who helped make the trip a success. Pack 72 is already looking forward to the next adventure.
