Welcoming Tiger: A New Adventure Begins!

From the Desk of AJ Soliz-Chavez - District Executive

We're thrilled to share some exciting news from the Scouting community in Portales and Clovis, NM!

Tiger, a dedicated Scout from Pack 11 in Portales, has taken a significant step in his Scouting journey by crossing over to Troop 226 in Clovis. This move marks a new chapter in his adventure, filled with new challenges and opportunities for growth.

Tiger's crossover is not just a personal milestone but also a testament to the vibrant spirit of cooperation and camaraderie within our local Scouting units. His transition into Troop 226 is expected to bring fresh energy and a new perspective to the troop's activities.

In related news, late February was a momentous time for Pack 226 as they celebrated the crossover of six Arrow of Light (AOL) Scouts. This group of young achievers has spread their wings across various troops within the El Llano Grande District. The crossover fed into all five troops, including:

  • Troop 226 in Clovis, where Tiger has just joined,

  • Troop 411, which is part of a pioneering co-ed combined unit between Troop 411 & Troop 9411 under Scouting America's pilot program,

  • Troop 427-B and Troop 427-G at Cannon AFB, enhancing the Scouting spirit on base.

These movements underscore the dynamic nature of our Scouting community and the continuous flow of enthusiasm and leadership from one generation to the next. Each crossover is a celebration of the growth and development of our Scouts as they take on more significant challenges and roles within our community.

Congratulations to Tiger and all the AOL Scouts on their successful transitions. We look forward to seeing how they contribute to their new troops and continue to exemplify the principles of Scouting through their actions and leadership. Here's to new adventures and the endless possibilities that lie ahead!
